We understand how important it is for students to receive nutritious meals in school to fuel their learning. As such we quality assure all our suppliers and currently use Herts Catering Ltd (HCL) as our school caterer.
HCL follow a strict food labelling regulation, Natasha’s Law, to ensure that a list of ingredients are available for students, and the presence of 14 key allergens are displayed on all pre-packaged food items and if food is Halal this is marked with a H.
The main food suppliers used are Bidfood, Histon’s Produce, William White Meats Ltd and Theo's Food Co.
Other suppliers include UK Foodhall, Delice de France, TUGO and Samworth Brothers.

Bidfood provides HCL with access to a large number of established, trusted brands and suppliers whose products are used on a daily basis, including McCain, Hienz, Youngs Seafood and UK Foodhall.
Histon Produce are a local (Cambridgeshire) fresh fruit and vegetable supplier and have a long-running partnership with HCL to provide fresh, seasonal produce ready to be cooked and prepared in our kitchens.
William White Meats Ltd are a local, family owned, education specialist butcher. They work with HCL to design meals that are meals that are cost-effective, environmentally conscious and compliant with school standards. They ensure their products adhere to the strictest school food standards, but go a step further by designing the majority of their products to be completely allergen-free, providing a safe and inclusive dining experience for students with allergies. All Beef, Chicken, Pork & Turkey products from William White Ltd are British Red Tractor Accredited.

HCL Halal Statement:
In cases where schools do require or request Halal meat HCL will source Halal compliant products which are from pre-stunned animals.
HCL does not use unstunned Halal meat in any of its kitchens.
We will discuss with schools their individual requirement for Halal or non-Halal products and seek to accommodate accordingly.
We will ensure any Halal products or dishes are clearly marked with a (H) for Halal on our menus and at the point of service to ensure our customers have the correct information to make a personal choice.
