Smarty Schoolwear is situated in the centre of Stevenage. Since 1986, we’ve been proud to support over 80 Hertfordshire schools with trusted, quality schoolwear. Barnwell Middle and Upper school uniform will be kept in store all year round.

Important! 

We endeavour to keep all sizes in stock all year round. Keep in mind August is our busiest time so stocks do run low. Early orders  for START OF TERM would be appreciated.  Sizes can be changed before the start of school if your child grows during the summer holidays.

School Uniform - The key priorities for the uniform are that: 

• It fits with the school vision 
• It is clear and consistent in design 
• It is smart and practical 
• It is affordable for parents   

The new uniform is: 

• A year group tie: Yr 7 Yellow stripe, Yr 8 no stripe, Yr 9 Orange Stripe, Yr 10 Red stripe and Yr 11 Purple stripe. The school tie follows the student into each year group so students do not need to buy a new tie each year.
• Either a Navy blue blazer with school logo or a Navy school jumper with logo
• Standard white shirt, short or long sleeved (available from supermarkets and High Street stores) Top button fastened and shirt tucked in.
• Black trousers - no ‘skinny’, leather, combat or denim style, leggings or jogging bottoms
• Socks – plain white or black
• Students can wear plain black 'leather look' flat-soled footwear or plain black 'leather look' flat-soled trainers. Crocs and canvas footwear (e.g. Crocs, Vans, Converse) are not permitted.

SPORTS UNIFORM:

All students are required to wear the following kit when participating in lessons:

• Red/Black Barnwell Polo Shirt
• Plain Black shorts (Cycling shorts are not permitted)
• Red socks
• Appropriate Footwear such as sports trainers (no plimsolls, converse or canvas trainers are allowed, due to safety reasons)

Depending on the sport you may also require the following

• Shin pads 
• Football boots
• Mouth guards

Optional kit 

• Barnwell hooded jumper
• Black jogging bottoms or leggings
• Black under layers can be worn under the Barnwell Logo sports top
• Gymnastics shoes
