Record Breaking Summer Examination Results 2011
We are delighted to announce that the summer results are the best the school has ever achieved, with some outstanding individual performances.
Year 11
The headline figures for GCSE and equivalent qualifications were as follows:
- 81% of students achieved 5 or more qualifications at grades A* - C
This figure is an increase on 2010 and maintains the continual progression in students achieving 5+ A* - C over a 5 year period:

- 47% of students achieved 5 or more qualifications at grades A* - C including English and Mathematics
This figure is an increase on 2010 and again showing an upward trend over the last few years:

Many of our students met and surpassed their targets which is very pleasing as it allows them to progress to their chosen Post 16 courses

Post 16
The headlines for AS/A2 and BTEC results were as follows:
- Year 13 students achieved a 94% pass rate in A2 and equivalent qualifications
- 100% of the 43 students following a Level 3 BTEC qualification
obtained a pass or better
- Many of our students met and surpassed their targets which has
allowed them to progress to their chosen career path
- Over 86% of students that applied for University places were
successful in gaining places
