Sports Uniform

All students are required to wear the following kit when participating in lessons:

Red 'Barnwell' Polo shirt or 'Barnwell' Rugby shirt
Plain black shorts or Plain black jogging bottoms
Red football socks
Trainers

Facilities

On-site leisure centre with sports hall, dance studio and fitness suite.
Playing fields - 2 soccer, 1 rugby, 2 hockey.
Gymnasium
Outdoor Swimming Pool
Tennis Courts
Outdoor
Basketball Court

Note: RE: Gumshields

Students wanting to play for the school rugby team must have a gumshield due to the RFU schools rules and regulations. This must be worn at all training sessions and for all matches. Pupils can buy a gumshield from the PE department for £4.00 each or they can purchase them from any sports shop in town.

Gumshields are optional for PE lessons however the PE department advise pupils to wear one in rugby lessons for their own safety

All P.E. staff are fully qualified teachers and we also have outside coaches for table-tennis, judo and archery that work alongside Barnwell staff.

Teams represent Barnwell in a range of sports in both district / county and national competitions.
