Activities within the department will aim to stimulate and develop the students ability to:

  • Record responses, including observations of the natural and man-made environment
  • Gather resources and materials, using them to stimulate and to develop ideas
  • Explore and use two or three dimensional media in a variety of scales
  • Review and modify work in progress, giving reasons and explanations
  • Develop an understanding and knowledge of the work of artists, crafts people and designers to inform their own work
  • Respond to and evaluate art, craft and design produced by themselves or others
