Partnership
We believe that the success of our pupils is helped by a strong partnership between parents and staff. To help them succeed we each have a role.
Barnwell School - We shall try to:
- Set high standards and expectations for all our pupils
- Provide the full curriculum in all subject areas
- Set and mark homework regularly according to the timetable and provide study facilities in school
- Assess pupils' progress and inform parents
- Provide parents with regular information about the life of the school and inform them in writing of any significant changes that affect their child
- Hold regular parents' evenings
- Provide opportunities for pupils to become involved in visits, clubs and activities
- In partnership with parents, develop in each pupil a sense of personal responsibility for their work and behaviour
- Work closely with parents to maximise all pupils' achievements at school
