Year 9 Holocaust Memorial Theme Day

Year 9 Holocaust Memorial Theme Day.
On March 23rd, all Year 9 students will be participating in a day of activities based on their study of Anne Frank and Kindertransport in English.
We have arranged for the Holocaust Education Trust to run part of the workshops which all students will be able to access. As part of the day, the students will also be able to hear the real story of a Holocaust survivor.
Gena Turgel MBE will be speaking to the students during the day and whilst this will be an engaging, inspiring and interesting experience for all our students, parents should also be aware that it may be an emotionally challenging activity. If parents are concerned or wish their child not to take part in this element of the days program, please contact Mrs. D Spanyol, KS3 Curriculum Leader in the English Department who is organising the event and alternative provision can be made.
