Incredible Its take part in Robot Rumble

The Barnwell robot team the 'Incredible Its' took part in the MBDA Robot Rumble competition on Saturday 12th December at North Herts College.
The team consisted of Ellen Pearson, Hope Adeniji, Laura Protheroe, Sariah Milner and Hannah Fowler . The girls had a brilliant robot that has been built over this term during afterschool sessions, with the help of their mentors from MBDA.
The girls worked really well as a team during all the matches played, trying to gain points by putting balls onto the opponents side of the pitch! Unfortunately the team didn't make it pass the knockout stages of the competition.
The highlight of the day was when the girls were awarded the Judges Award for the competition. They were awarded this for their logbook of the work they had carried out (it also included a robot of the week joke!), their excellent, well prepared presentation, their teamwork and a well built robot.
They also achieved a bronze CREST award for this work, which is also a great achievement.
