Free School Meals
Hertfordshire County Council has published guidelines for parents and carers regarding Free School Meals and Barnwell would like to offer help to parents with the online application. Please open for full details

Young Carers Club - update
The Young Carers Club is always very active at Barnwell - selling crafts and raising money for the club - their most recent venture has begun with them winning £100 to start a Fair-Trade shop.

Uniform Policy
The school is no longer relaxing the uniform policy as of Monday. The severe weather has passed and students are expected to come to school in full uniform. For the uniform policy, please open this news item.

Christmas Lunch
Christmas lunch takes place on Tuesday 14th (West) and Wednesday 15th (East). For a very reasonable £3, students can have a customary turkey dinner with all the trimmings and dessert. Vegetarian option available.

The Year 7 Parents Evening takes place on Thursday 9th December. Students have two week to obtain appointments with their subject teachers.

Year 9 Parents Learning Platform Login
Barnwell is starting to use the Virtual Learning Platform for its students and is beginning with Year 9. Most parents should have received a letter with their username and password attached.

Barnwell Musicians Get Counted In
The hard work and dedication of Barnwell's music students - alongside the might of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra - culminates in a musical extravaganza being held at the Gordon Craig Theatre on Monday 15th November.

The ‘Barnwell School Student Ambassador Programme’ is a new initiative that allows students in every year to be involved in all areas of school life and to take on responsibility to inspire, lead and act as the Student Voice.
