On Tuesday 26th June at 5.00am we set off for York not knowing quite what we was going to find as the weather had been atrocious the day before and the trip had nearly been cancelled due to us not being able to supply our own canoes!

For many years now Barnwell School has been invited to play at the Christmas breakfast meeting of Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce.

Barnwell School wins the MBDA Twenty:50 competition
Twenty:50 Year 8 "What will your world look like tomorrow?" The idea of the project was "To create a vision of an environmentally sustainable home/office/school/commercial building (inclusive of furniture) for the year 2050"

Fame TV competition
As part of Enterprise Week, we held a competition to design a logo for a new television station Fame TV. During an extended registration on Tuesday 14th November, every student in the school was given time to work on their designs.

Barnwell School students have their say
Barnwell School students have their say during the Vox Pops interviews conducted by Stevenage Borough Council. 30 students from Barnwell took part in the second session of the Vox pops project in Stevenage during Local Democracy Week in October 2006.
