Keeping Your Child Safe
Monday, 20th October 2008
Earlier this year a countywide campaign took place involving the confiscation of alcohol from young people under 18. Many of these confiscations took place in areas known for anti-social behaviour.
Unfortunately we are aware that 80% of youngsters obtain their alcohol from home, on many occasions we do not doubt that parents are not aware of this.
Hertfordshire Constabulary along with the youth services and local schools would like to invite you as a parent/guardian to an information evening on:
“Keeping your child safe” on 21st October at
The session will run from 7pm-8.30pm and refreshments will be available from 6.45pm.
During the course of their work the Constabulary sadly sees that alcohol abuse amongst the young, as well as issues such as child safety, unplanned sexual contact and injuries from road traffic accidents which can cause serious long term health issues. Many such incidents can lead to a child obtaining a criminal record or becoming a victim of crime themselves.
Come along on the 21st October for advice and information to help you ensure your child does not become another statistic.
