Barnwell Awarded Full Service Extended School's Status
Monday, 17th March 2008
Barnwell School has been awarded Full Service Extended School Status; the certificate was awarded in a ceremony held at Hertfordshire Development Centre on the 4th March. A Full Service School has to meet a "core offer" which means the school has to offer a huge selection of activities beyond curriculum teaching including adult & family learning, parenting support, swift and easy referral to specialist services, a full and varied programme of study support and childcare which in secondary schools is deemed as a "safe place to be" this includes breakfast and after school clubs.
