All students study French at Key Stage 3 in ability groups. Students cover a range of topics including personal information, free time, clothing, school and employment.
We are currently piloting a fast-track Foundation GCSE programme for Year 9 students, which will enable them to gain a qualification in French even if they choose not to continue with the subject into Key Stage 4.
Students at Key Stage 4 can choose to take French GCSE. We target the A*-C grades. Students are offered opportunities to work with a Foreign Language Assistant in addition to classroom teaching.
We offer AS and A Level courses in French at Post-16 level, in collaboration with Heathcote School and the Stevenage 14-19 Partnership.
