ICT Learning Hub
The Barnwell ICT Learning Hub is located on the West Campus. It is a room which is kitted out with 6 computers, a data projector and people willing to share their knowledge and ideas.
The idea behind the ICT Learning Hub is to enable learners to share their expertise, develop their skills and explore new ways of using ICT to enhance the learning experience for themselves and others. Shoulder to shoulder learning is key to our philosophy, the idea being that students and staff can attend the same clubs and training sessions. We also believe that the 'teaching' should be carried out by those with the skills, so when you turn up to a club or session you will probably find a student leading the learning.
Student voice and opinion is essential to the success of the Hub. A group of Post 16 students have taken responsibility for the Hub Club and work closely with the Hub staff to not only plan the strategic development of the Hub but also the implementation of our plans.
