The arts help to unlock the skills society needs - creativity, flexibility and communication. 82% of people believe the arts help children achieve more at school (source: MORI) The arts boost the economy. Creative Industries earn �60 billion for the UK. (Source DCMS). The arts create jobs. More than 1.4 million people are employed in the Creative Industries in the UK. The arts change lives everywhere. (Source: ACE research) The arts are reaching new audiences. Over 1.3 million people have attended "New Audience Programme" activities since they began in 1998
