Year 8 Into Industry
Tuesday, 2nd November 2010
270 students have just completed an “Into Industry Week” where the focus of the project was to give the Year 8 students an idea of which employers are in the local area along with the different types of jobs available within these employers.
“It has been a fantastic opportunity for the young people of our school to talk to employers and visit their premises on a very informal basis; each employer has given a fantastic and informative talk to the students and then given them time to ask questions. The students have also been given an amazing range of free gifts and information leaflets from these employers.” Said Business & Enterprise co-ordinator Ms Julie Coyte.
