Barnwell School wins the MBDA Twenty:50 competition
Twenty:50 Year 8 "What will your world look like tomorrow?" The idea of the project was "To create a vision of an environmentally sustainable home/office/school/commercial building (inclusive of furniture) for the year 2050"

Fame TV competition
As part of Enterprise Week, we held a competition to design a logo for a new television station Fame TV. During an extended registration on Tuesday 14th November, every student in the school was given time to work on their designs.

As part of the 60th Birthday celebrations of Stevenage New Town the Mayor Simon Spellor arranged for all the secondary schools and colleges in Stevenage to have the opportunity to take part in a Business Challenge.

Barnwell School students have their say
Barnwell School students have their say during the Vox Pops interviews conducted by Stevenage Borough Council. 30 students from Barnwell took part in the second session of the Vox pops project in Stevenage during Local Democracy Week in October 2006.

Natwest Tender Challenge 2006
For the 3rd year running during Enterprise Week Barnwell school hosted the Natwest Tender Challenge for year 9 students. We invited all the secondary schools in Stevenage to enter teams of 5 and were very pleased to be joined on Thursday 16th by teams and staff from Nobel, Mattiotts, Priory, Barclay and Thomas Alleynes.

The Barnwell School Business and Enterprise Trade Fair
On Tuesday 6th February our year 10 Business and Enterprise students from both campuses held a Trade Fair with a very strong Valentines theme.

Business and Enterprise Day
On the 12 th January the whole school was transformed for the day, all students were off timetable and involved in a wide and varied menu of activities. Students from year 7 right up to year 12 were engaged in activities as diverse as Our World a global trading game led by Young Enterprise to a Mission to Mars with students designing, building and programming their own robots.
