Hub and Spoke Schools

Barnwell School has recently been designated a Hub school for enterprise in education for Hertfordshire.
What does this mean to the school?
This initiative is being run by Specialist Schools and Academies Trust, as well as Barnwell School in Stevenage being the Hub school for Hertfordshire we also have five Spoke schools they are:
Adeyfield School http://www.adeyfield.herts.sch.uk/ in Hemel Hempstead
Broxbourne School http://www.broxbourne.herts.sch.uk/ in Broxbourne
Leventhorpe School http://www.leventhorpe.herts.sch.uk/ in Sawbridgeworth
Priory School http://www.priory.herts.sch.uk/ in Hitchin
St Albans Girls School http://www.stalbans-high.herts.sch.uk/ in St Albans.
Between the 6 schools we will be running a series of workshops for the people who lead Enterprise in Hertfordshire schools and for the teachers of specific subjects and how to get enterprise into the everyday lessons being taught.
What does this mean for the students and parents?
As a leading school in Enterprise education this means that our students are also at the forefront of all the new and inspiring activities available to all schools.
This is a very exciting time for us as a school and we fully intend to take on this role with vigour and enthusiasm.
